Rubicon Landscape Corporation
RLC was founded in August of 2018 and is our only for-profit company that works with municipalities, HOA’s and commercial properties.
At Rubicon Landscape, we’re in the business of transformation with an expanded approach to landscape services that addresses your maintenance, water management and construction needs, as well as ensuring a healthier environment and more productive lives.
We hold our work to a higher standard, bringing attention to service, initiative and detail to every job. We pride ourselves in meeting and anticipating your landscape maintenance, water management and construction needs, increasing property values for you, the owner and the occupants. The RLC team is supported by our Vice President of Landscape Nancy Emery and managed by our Account Manager Jim Miranda and Operations Manager Pedro Torrez.

Meet the RLC Team
Our professional service team brings experience, in-depth industry knowledge and years of service to your project. Ongoing Professional Services Training, provided in-house and required, ranges from Horticultural Best Practices to Water Management Techniques ensuring consistency in know-how and application of skills. Our team, in turn, appreciates the investment in their professional education and stays with us for many years.
Our teams include professional Landscape Technicians, Gardeners, Irrigation Technicians, and Integrated Pest Management Specialists. A typical team structure for an integrated landscape services project includes an Account Manager and Operations Supervisor who are responsible for identifying your goals and ensuring we deliver successfully.
Nancy Emery is responsible for building Rubicon Landscape Group to support the mission of transforming landscapes by transforming lives. She leads a team of over 50 Account Managers, Operations Supervisors, Gardeners, and Day Porters. Through Nancy’s previous roles, she’s seen all aspects of the landscaping industry. Between running her own vineyard installation/maintenance business as a C-27 contractor, developing an innovative gardening service for a Silicon Valley tech startup, overseeing fine gardening operations in San Francisco, and teaching vocational training classes for gardeners just entering the industry, Nancy has perfected her skills on creating outdoor spaces that people love.
Jim Miranda has worked for Rubicon for 26 years. Jim began in the industry in 1989. He started at Rubicon as a licensed Pest Control Operator. Jim is the Safety and IPM Manager. In the last few years, he became an Account Manager as well. Jim cares deeply about people and seeks to help where he can. He enjoys seeing the work that RLC does on the physical landscape and the growth that takes place in our employees. He loves that not only is he making a living working at Rubicon, but that the end result is helping the community. Jim is a Bay Area native. Jim is married to his high school sweetheart and has grown-up twins. Jim loves sports and the outdoors. He is very involved in his church. He plays guitar and sings at church and in one of the local prisons.
Pedro Torrez has worked for Rubicon for 8 years, starting in the landscape industry since 2001, starting as a gardener, working his way up to foreman, irrigation technician, operations supervisor, operations manager, Pedro is passionate about water conservation and the environment, Pedro is certified by ReScape and QWEL, Pedro likes the challenges of construction work, Pedro is passionate about soccer, horse racing, the American and Mexican rodeo and hunting, Pedro has a daughter, a stepson and his wife, Pedro loves bbq.
